Top 15 Playboy Playmates of the Year


In celebration of Easter, we take a look at the company with the bunny logo and rank the top 15 Playboy Playmates of the Year from 1957-2016.

Honorable Mention: Lisa Winters

1957

We kick the list off with Lisa Winters as an honorable mention. Winters was the first ever Playboy Playmate of the Year and was the beginning of a trend that still continues today, 60 years later. Winters was a secretary working in the Playboy offices in Chicago. She starred in two movies and is now retired and lives in Florida.

Kimberly Conrad

1989

Kimberly Conrad was Hugh Hefner's second wife and is the mother to two of his four children. After nine years of marriage the two separated but remained married. Hefner was quoted, "I would've been happy to divorce her when we separated, but she wanted to remain married for our boys." Conrad moved into a house next to the Playboy Mansion. In September 2009, Hefner filed for divorce after his youngest child turned 18.

Jo Collins

1965

She was discovered by Playboy while working for a game show. She went on to work at the Playboy Clubs as a bunny. She was married to baseball player Bo Belinsky. She was nicknamed "G.I. Jo" for her U.S.O. tours to Vietnam.

Jaclyn Swedberg

2012

Swedberg has been featured in the Argentina Playboy as well as Germany Playboy. Swedberg said of modeling, “Being naturally pretty helped me. There is a stigma on perfection in this industry that isn’t really true. Instead of trying to look like something I am not, I just focus on who I already am.” She has starred in two movies with another coming out later this year.

Christina Santiago

2003

Santiago was one of the three finalist on Fox TV special Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold? She has starred in a total of six movies but none since 2011.

Jenny McCarthy

1994

McCarthy is probably one of the most known Playmates but more for her life after being the centerfold. Through TV and movies she is credited as an actress 51 times according to IMDB. She was a previous co-host on The View, airing in 210 episodes. She is currently in the media for being an anti-vaccine activist. She claims that vaccinations made her son autistic and promotes research through social media.

Claudia Jennings

1970

Jennings worked as a receptionist at Playboy before posing for the magazine. After Playboy she had a guest appearance on The Brady Bunch. During the 70's Jennings was considered the "queen of B movies" where she starred in 15 movies.

Anna Nicole Smith

1993

Smith's popularity is up there with McCarthy's but for the wrong reasons. She was a model for Guess, and H&M. But was mostly known for being a "gold digger." She began a legal battle over her ex-husband's shared estate after his death. Smith then died in 2007 due to an overdose.

Hope Dworaczyk

2010

After being Playmate of the Year Dwoaczyk did runway work, toured for Versace, hosted and co-produced Inside Edition in Canada, and appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2011. She also appeared on Fox's dating game shoe The Choice.

Victoria Silvstedt

1997

Silvstedt was a model for Chanel, Christian Dior, Girogio Armani and others prior to Playboy. Hugh Hefner personally invited her to do a photo shoot and the rest is history. She has appeared in numerous Playboy magazines and eventually landed one of the most sought-after modeling contracts in the business when she became the spokeswoman for Guess. After she continued to model for FHM, GQ, Maxim, along with others. She has been featured in over 500 magazine covers and has also been credited with 28 acting roles in her career.

Lisa Baker

1967

After Playboy Baker was able to land some work on television and became the Budweiser girl on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Dani Mathers

2015

Mathers had a re-occurring role on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful from 2005-2103 before posing for Playboy. She was a regular on a popular radio show in Los Angeles until she was fired when she posted on Snapchat a picture of a naked woman in the shower at an LA Fitness gym. She was banned for life from all LA Fitness gyms and was charged with a misdemeanor invasion of privacy charge.

Jodi Ann Paterson

2000

Prior to posing for Playboy, Paterson was a former Miss Oregon Teen USA in 1994. She is known as the first Playmate of the Year to have a college degree. Paterson has been credited with five acting roles in TV and movies and married auto racer Michael Andretti in 2006.

Patti McGuire

1977

McGuire worked as a Bunny Girl in St. Louis which is where she met the photographer who told her she should model for Playboy. McGuire appeared in the same issue that had a quote from Jimmy Carter, then a candidate for the presidency. Carter talked about how he has lusted over women and commited adultery in his heart many times. The magazine provoked a scandal that almost cost Carter the election days later. She married tennis champion Jimmy Connors in 1978.

Carmella DeCesare

2004

DeCesare is probably most known for being the wife of ex-NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia but before Garcia she was involved with not only Playboy but also the WWE. DeCesare was a contestant on WWE's Diva Search. Throughout the search she gained a lot of enemies. All of the girls claimed that she wasn't there for the right reasons. She ended up coming in 2nd but still earned a WWE contract. After he failed attempt at WWE, DeCesare went back to Playboy and modeled in calendars and was on the show The Girls Next Door. But when she married Garcia in 2007 he hinted that she would be distancing herself from Playboy.

Sarah Jean Underwood

2007

Prior to being Playmate of the Year, Underwood first appeared in Playboy in the Girls of the Pac-10 pictorial in 2005 representing Oregon State. When she was named Playmate of the Year in 2007, a group of women's studies students at Oregon State created a poster celebrating her achievement. The poster only remained in view for a couple of hours before it was removed. Underwood went on to appear in seven movies including the lead role in horror thriller Deadly Weekend. In 2009 she co-hosted a total of five episodes for G4's Attack of the Show, filling in for then host Olivia Munn. After modeling for VictoryPoker.net and playing in charity tournaments she decided to join their team of professional poker players.
